Anton Khudobin 2014-15 Mask

Anton Khudobin of the Carolina Hurricanes (born May 7, 1986 in Ust-kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan.)

Artist: Sylvie Marsolais of Sylabrush.

Article about the mask is found here.

On both the left and right sides of the mask, two evil sorcerers have spell books opened upon lecterns with hands outstretched towards a Hurricanes logo in the midst of a lightning storm. The cloaked sorcerers with long beards and piercing red eyes have some cool details added in as well. If you look closely, “On the side you can see the evil looking sorcerer with a long cape with small skulls incorporated in the bottom” in the folds of the fabric as they trail towards the chin… scary!
Also on the chin, Khudobin’s nickname “Dobby” is spelled out with the ‘O’ replaced by a hurricane illustration. The top of the mask features the large Hurricanes logo, surrounded by dark, brooding clouds and red lightning. That’s one storm you wouldn’t want to be caught out in! On the backplate of the mask a large Russian coat of arms holds up a Russian flag between some intitails, including the name and number 22 of Lokomotiv airplane accident victim and Khudobin’s friend Igor Korolev.
