Jimmy Howard 2016-17 Mask

Jimmy Howard of the Detroit Red Wings (born March 26, 1984 in Syracuse, NY.)

Artist: Ray Bishop of Bishop Designs

Article here.

A Farewel to the Joe:

A soft black and gray portrait of Mr. Hockey appears on the left side of the mask opposite Steve Yzerman hoisting the Cup on the right. The lenggends' signatures subtly appear over the portraits...Two wings frame "The Joe" on the stop of the mask with the dates and "Farewell Season."

Howard also had a Hockey Fights Cancer mask (he paid tribute to former Red Wings and current Dallas Stars broadcaster, Dave Strader, on his backplate (Strader was battling cancer this season):

And he also wore a special Christmas mask in December:

Petr Mrazek 2016-17 Mask

Petr Mrazek of the Detroit Red Wings (born February 14, 1992 in Ostrava, Czech Republic.)

Mrazek has had numerous masks this season, but I believe David Gunnarsson is the artist for all.

His main mask (a Farewell to the Joe):

It seems he's recently started wearing these pads:

He had a Hockey Fights Cancer mask that I can't find info on, but I assume it was also painted by Dave G.

Then he had a Christmas mask:

He also had a special mask for the Centennial Classic:

Antti Niemi 2016-17 Mask

Antti Niemi of the Dallas Stars (born August 29, 1983 in Vantaa, Finland.)

Artist: Unknown

I can't find any information about Niemi's mask again this season. If anyone knows who painted it, please let me know in the comments.

It appears he's wearing two masks, and one of them is the same mask as last season. (I thought maybe one was home and one away, but I'm not sure that always holds true.)

And the one with more black.

Kari Lehtonen 2016-17 Mask

Kari Lehtonen of the Dallas Stars (born November 16, 1983 in Helsinki, Finland.)

He seems to have two masks, home and away. (And also a special Military Appreciation one at the bottom.)

In March, Lehtonen wore a special mask for Military Appreciation Night.
