Louis wanted the mask to be a tribute to the team and also city of Tampa, and more precise a tribute to the two legendary Bolts players, Martin St Louis and Vincent Lecavalier. Louis wanted an old school and vintage style on the mask, so I created the players in a sketchy style direct on the mask to fit the classic theme. The storytelling continues on the mask all over the surface. Among all the details you will find Tampa city, and also the Gasparilla pirate ship. And as the true Lightnings mask it is, the lightning on the top in Thor's hands glows in the dark.

Louis took art drawn by kids fighting cancer and had it painted on his mask.
