The position of goalie has an inherent romanticism: masked men clad with cool armor, serving as the last line of defense. They play entire games, with an unparalleled ability to impact outcomes. When they're on, they can single-handedly defeat a giant foe. They are the consummate underdogs and towering superheroes all at once.

2010-11 NHL Saves of the Year
That Rinne save was highly entertaining. It was like he had his stick trained to make a save, even if he's not holding it.
I agree, Scott! I didn't have much of a chance to see much of Rinne this season, so I've thoroughly enjoyed watching him during the playoffs. He would be my favorite for the Vezina, because of how much he meant to his team. Although Thomas' stats all season were remarkable. So I'd be happy with either of them.
Those saves by Rinne in the second round are just amazing!
