I'm not sure if he ever wore these in a game, but he tweeted this photo.
The position of goalie has an inherent romanticism: masked men clad with cool armor, serving as the last line of defense. They play entire games, with an unparalleled ability to impact outcomes. When they're on, they can single-handedly defeat a giant foe. They are the consummate underdogs and towering superheroes all at once.
One side of this Buffalo Sabres mask is created with the team logo...and just as usual on Enroth´s masks it is divided by a brick wall. The other side of the mask is created in a totally different style, it´s a tribute to the American native art of the buffaloes.
Just as the native of America put up the buffalo skins we have put up a buffalo skin on the mask. The painted buffalo on the buffalo skin is placed in the exact same position as the buffalo in the Sabres logo on the other side.
The design is built on the awesome logos of the BlueJackets, in total harmony with the Blue Jackets uniforms. One side is a tribute to the team and Sergei´s new home country, and the other side is a tribute to Mother Russia.
