Update

I've had some serious eye problems the past few months, and I finally had surgery yesterday. After it heals and all that, I hope to be able to do more. It's been hard doing computer work for a while.

From the artist: Today we have the pleasure to unleash the new Canucks mask for my friend Thatcher Demko. When Thatcher told me his awesome ideas and visions for his new mask I couldnt wait to get started with my airbrushes. Thatcher wanted a totally action packed design from the deep of the ocean, with Poseidon on adventures with his orca buddy. And of course also the awesome Johnny Canuck skull dude is a part of the design, that skull dude is created by Thatcher’s father! Thank you so much Thatch, it is so awesome to be your paint dude!

I didn't find any information on why he has Will Ferrell's character from Semi-Pro on his backplate...?

From the artist: It was so exciting to paint the retro mask with the awesome skate logo for my friend Thatcher Demko. Thatch knew what he wanted and had some pretty sweet ideas. He wanted it to be a crisp and clean design, very classic and old school with a strong retro connection. And in the crisp frames tributes to epic Canucks players.

This one is mostly white (including the middle part where the oil derrick is.)

Then there is also this one (notice the middle is orange.) So maybe this was the first one he referred to, but I couldn't find the tweet.
