Check Out This Awesome Game-Used Masks Collection!

Recently I heard from a regular visitor to this site, which I appreciate. I'm always glad to receive messages or comments, because it means people are visiting and using my blog.

He has a really fantastic collection of game-used goalie masks (NHL, International, AHL/Minors, and some odds and ends.)

Winter Classic (same mask but different gear)

Alexander Georgiev 2018-19 Mask

Alexander Georgiev of the New York Rangers (born February 10, 1996 in Ruse, Bulgaria.)

My friend Alex Georgiev had an awesome idea for his new New York Rangers mask. He is a big fan of the Russian art style Gzhel. And I also love it, the blue wavy lines created with a gentle brush. Alex and I were thinking who could help us paint the Gzhel paintings. Since the mask will have a Russian tribute paint, how about ask a Russian matryoshka doll if she could help us paint the Gzhel paintings on the mask on the NYC brickwall. So on the the side of the mask the matryoshka doll pop up with her blue brush.

I couldn't find any good in-game photos.

Stolarz was traded to Edmonton in February. That mask is at the bottom.

Tristan Jarry 2018-19 Mask

Tristan Jarry of the Pittsburgh Penguins (born April 29, 1995 in Surrey, BC.)

Michael Hutchinson 2018-19 Mask

Michael Hutchinson of the Florida Panthers Toronto Maple Leafs (born March 2, 1990 in Barrie, ON.)

Hutchinson was traded in January. His Toronto mask is at the bottom.

Artist: I don't know (Diel Airbrush has painted previous masks.)

This was the first mask he wore in Toronto. I wonder if this was maybe just decals put on his Florida mask, because he had a new one later. This was pretty quick after the trade, which is why I wondered if it was actually a paint job or not.
