Jhonas Enroth 2012-13 Mask

Jhonas Enroth of the Buffalo Sabres (born June 25, 1988 in Stockholm, Sweden.)

Artist: David Gunnarsson

This new mask is a clean continuation from his past masks, always with a brick wall on the top. Then the rest of the mask is created as a clean and old school design based on the team logos and uniform. Among all the details you will find a Buffalo stampede to show power.

Steve Mason 2012-13 Mask

Steve Mason of the Philadelphia Flyers (born May 29, 1988 in Oakville, ON.)

Mason was traded to the Flyers mid-season, so his Blue Jackets' mask is at the bottom.

Artist: David Gunnarsson

Steve Mason's new Philadelphia Flyers mask is a direct continuation of his past Twilight Zone masks. In these designs we want to recreate the feeling you have when you wake up from a really bad nightmare…

Artist: David Gunnarsson

This design is a continuation of Steve's mask from the previous season, the mask named SkullSoldiers... That was a design to show the horror of war...and here we dig even deeper in the horror of war... I see myself as much a storyteller as a painter. The whole mask is created with very scary feelings, and I did it with very calm, strange and unpleasant motifs, just as you woke up from a nightmare...

Scott Clemmensen 2012-13 Mask

Scott Clemmensen of the Florida Panthers (born July 23, 1977 in Des Moines, IA.)

Artist: Mark Hart of Hart Designs

Clemmensen switched to a new mask partway through the season. It's in the photo on the left.

Article about his first mask at InGoal Magazine:

Florida goaltender Scott Clemmensen is taking Panthers fans to “Margaritaville” with a tribute to musician Jimmy Buffet on his new mask, including a nod to an album that featured that famous song on one side, and a parrot on the backplate.
The compass on the left side of the mask is in reference to the cover for Buffett’s 1977 “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes” album, which included “Margaritaville,” and the parrot on the back references the “Parrotheads” nickname given to the singer’s loyal followers. It seems Clemmensen is among them.

Tuukka Rask 2012-13 Mask

Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins (born March 10, 1987 in Savonlinna, Finland.)

Artist: David Gunnarsson

With this mask on Tuukka Rask will be transformed into a badass bear…and when you come really close you will discover tributes to legendary Bruins players.

I have not seen any photos of Rask wearing this new mask. It seems he's still wearing last season's mask.

So Much Happening in a Short Time!

So there is so much happening at one time, that I’m not going to be able to post everything I want right away. Stupid job and all that. :p
The Pads Tracker is starting to post goalies’ pads templates, and then all the headshots showing up. Then I’m sure there will be more masks as well…and then after Saturday I’ll actually have in-game photos as well!
So bear with me, and I’ll get it all up sooner or later.
It's so great to have the NHL back!! :)

Henrik Karlsson 2012-13 Mask

Karlsson was traded to Chicago, but I don't think he's played any games for them.

Henrik Karlsson of the Calgary Flames (born Nov. 27, 1983 in Tumba, Sweden.)

Artist: David Gunnarsson

Article found at InGoal Magazine:

Created by his longtime personal painter and fellow Swede David Gunnarsson of DaveArt, Karlsson’s new look combines a medieval theme on one side with a traditional, logo-based design on the other.
“The style of the artwork is inspired from kings, castles and knights, and Henrik is a knight protecting the net,” Gunnarsson

Antti Niemi 2012-13 Mask

Antti Niemi of the San Jose Sharks (born Aug. 29, 1983 in Vantaa, Finland.)

In April, David Gunnarsson introduced a new mask for Niemi (although he still seems to be wearing the first mask here in May.)

Article about 2nd mask found here.

…a tribute to the Finnish people and the legendary heroes of the Finnish Winter War from year 1939 to 1940…Finnish soldiers on one side skiing in their white winter uniforms. The Finnish chief commander Gustaf Mannerheim that later became the Finnish President…

Below is the mask Niemi wore for the first part of the season.

Artist: David Arrigo

This was tweeted by the San Jose Sharks, and I have no other information at this time.
