Artist: I couldn't find the info, but I assume it's a Pro's Choice mask again as in previous seasons.
From The Goalie Guild's PadsTracker
This photo is his alternate mask, worn for 2 games (see comment below, thanks anon!)
The position of goalie has an inherent romanticism: masked men clad with cool armor, serving as the last line of defense. They play entire games, with an unparalleled ability to impact outcomes. When they're on, they can single-handedly defeat a giant foe. They are the consummate underdogs and towering superheroes all at once.
The third image down does NOT come from Greiss's regular penguins mask, as seen in this image (http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/thomas-greiss-of-the-pittsburgh-penguins-looks-on-against-news-photo/468923396). That one is from an alternate mask seen only in two games, one in which he played relief (as seen at starting at 1:30 of http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1K-mUtVDFG4) and the other vs the Bruins, with the other side (http://www.gettyimages.com/photos/thomas-greiss?editorialproducts=sport&excludenudity=true&family=editorial&page=3&phrase=Thomas%20Greiss&sort=best) looking somewhat different.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll try to get more photos of those games up later.
