The position of goalie has an inherent romanticism: masked men clad with cool armor, serving as the last line of defense. They play entire games, with an unparalleled ability to impact outcomes. When they're on, they can single-handedly defeat a giant foe. They are the consummate underdogs and towering superheroes all at once.

Cory Schneider 2011-12 Mask
Cory Schneider of the Vancouver Canucks (born March 18, 1986 in Marblehead, MA.)
Schneider started using a new set of pads in January 2012
the one he used before with all the retro logos was destroyed in practice. this is a new mask that he began to use late last year and in the 2011 playoffs
Thanks for the comment. I called it his retro mask, because that's what InGoal magazine called it at the end of last season, after his other one got damaged. Here's the entry that I made for it last year. http://ilovegoalies.blogspot.com/2011/05/corey-schneiders-new-retro-canucks-mask.html
There's a link in that entry to the original InGoal article titled "Cory Shneider's Retro Canucks Mask" as opposed to his tribute mask earlier that season.
