Edit: Anderson was traded from the Colorado Avalanche to the Senators in Februrary 2011. I'll leave the Avalanche photos down at the bottom for reference purposes, since he was there more than half the season.
Here's the article at In Goal Magazine about the new mask. Neat story about the mask painter and how he adds a small touch to his masks to honor his sister who passed away from breast cancer.
Here's the bit about the mask art itself: “Craig is a Corvette guy so while I kept the Ed Roth inspiration in the Senator character, I toned it down for the Corvette in order to make it as large as possible on the mask,” said John Pepe.
A kind reader submitted these photos of Anderson's Sens mask.
Thanks to an anonymous commenter below, I have this great in-game photo of Anderson. Thanks, anon!

According to The Goalie Guild: "the mask includes a red Corvette and other racing symbolism. This mask, which is painted by Pepe’s Custom Paint, has a great rendition of Ed Roth’s “Rat Fink” character on the left side, but designed with a Yeti-influenced twist. Rat fink is driving a red Corvette on red skis and is clutching a shifter in his right hand."
simply amazing.
ReplyDeleteupdate the goal maskets for craig anderson and brian elliot , anderson plays for ottawa now and elliot plays for avalance
ReplyDeleteI'm aware of that. I have not found any photos showing new masks yet. Anderson wore his Avs mask in his first game with Ottawa. I haven't seen any photos of Elliott with Colorado yet.
