I'm working on at least posting photos of all of last season's masks, without much information. I would like to get those done before the new season starts. Then if time allows I'll go back and fill in the information that I didn't give.
I'm already seeing new masks for the upcoming season, so I want to finish off 2017-18 soon.
Sorry again for being so slow.
The position of goalie has an inherent romanticism: masked men clad with cool armor, serving as the last line of defense. They play entire games, with an unparalleled ability to impact outcomes. When they're on, they can single-handedly defeat a giant foe. They are the consummate underdogs and towering superheroes all at once.

Henrik Lundqvist 2017-18 Mask
Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers
Artist: David Gunnarsson
I see three different masks here. The first one has the red band on the chin. The second one was for the Winter Classic (has NY on the top.) And then I see one that's mostly blue that he also wore.

Jaroslav Halak 2017-18 Mask
Jaroslav Halak of the New York Islanders (born May 13, 1985 in Bratislava, Slovakia.)

"A creation which pays tribute to his origin of the Slovakian city Bratislava on one side of the mask, and his current home of New York on the other side. When you come closer you will enter the story and you will find the skyline of Bratislava, with the famous bridge and also the castle. You will also find Brooklyn bridge to symbolize his new home. It is all surrounded with brickwalls all over the mask as a tribute to the New York City street life."
H also wore last season's mask some (also painted by Dave Gunnarsson)
And two sets of pads:
I think these were first:
