Jason LaBarbera 2013-14 Mask

Jason LaBarbera of the Edmonton Oilers Chicago Blackhawks (born Jan. 18, 1980 in Burnaby, BC.)

LaBarbera was traded to Chicago in December. I don't believe he made any starts for Chicago, but was the back-up for at least a couple of games. He spent most of his time after the trade with the Rockford Icehogs of the AHL.

His artist was again David Arrigo.

I'm not able to save the photos from his site, so click there to see other images. This one was tweeted so could be saved.

This was the only photo I found of  him with his Chicago gear. The other game he was still wearing Oilers gear.

His Edmonton gear is below.

Artist: David Arrigo

From the artist:

Upon hearing LaBarbera was joining a new team and getting a new paint job for his mask, CM Punk called both LaBarbera and myself out over Twitter asking to be included.  I for one was not going to be the person telling CM Punk otherwise.
With CM Punk featured on one side of the mask, the other side is guarded by the lead of Metallica, Sir James Hetfield.  The images are my caricature renditions of these celebs.
There are a number of paint techniques used on this mask to create gradients and depth.  To make the colours really pop I used metallics and subtly camouflaged the Oilers logo along the chin lines of the mask.

Marc-Andre Fleury 2013-14 Mask

Marc-Andre Fleury of the Pittsburgh Penguins (born Nov. 28, 1984 in Sorel, QC.)

Artist: Stephane Bergeron of Griff Airbrush

Article at InGoal Magazine

Painted again by Fleury’s long-time artist Stephane Bergeron of Griff Airbrush, the new CCM mask features a flower wearing an old-school goalie mask on the forehead, with the eyes glowing blue through the mask and the petals flowing out from the middle like hair.
“Just switched it up a little this year,” the always smiling Fleury said while showing off the new mask at the CCM Reebok Goalie Summit this week in Montreal. “It’s just a big flower with an old Jacques Plante-type of mask on top and ‘Pittsburgh’ on the bottom.”
In addition to “Pittsburgh” along the chin, Fleury kept the Steel City tribute with rivets on his new mask, and inserted both his No.29 and his nickname, “Flower,” on opposite sides within the flower petals.
Things get more even personal on the backplate, with his three-month old daughter’s name, Estelle, painted in pink on one side, the initials of his grandparents who passed away at the bottom, and a personalized logo on the right side featuring a Fleur de Lis, a Canadian Maple Leaf, a cartoon frog, and the Stanley Cup.

Martin Brodeur 2013-14 Mask

Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils (born May 6, 1972 in Montreal, QC.)

Artist: Sylvie Poitras of Airbrush Zap

Brodeur has added a unique twist to his new mask for the upcoming season, going beyond his usual team-driven design with the addition of his two bulldogs, Stan(ley) and Vez(ina) on either side of his new lid for 2013-14.

Vez appears on the right side, just above the shadow of the Vezina Trophy, with the number 4 in the middle to signify the four times Brodeur has won the award as the NHL’s top regular season goalie. Stan is opposite on the left, perched above a silhouette of the Stanley Cup, with the number 3 inside to signify Brodeur’s three championships with New Jersey.

Jonathan Bernier 2013-14 Mask

Jonathan Bernier of the Toronto Maple Leafs (born Aug. 7, 1988 in Laval, QC.)

Artist: David Gunnarsson

It seems Bernier was still using the bottom mask from the beginning of the season in the last game he played, April 3rd:

Bernier had a new mask in early November. (Thanks to John for the message!)

Article at DaveArt

Below is the mask Bernier started the season with.

Article at InGoal Magzine.

Bernier maintained the dominant Lion image atop his mask – he is a Leo and has the same design featured prominently atop a large tattoo that now covers an entire arm. “I had a good conversation with DaveArt,” Bernier said. ”We’ve always had the Lion on top for my sign and he wanted to keep it. He said ‘that’s you and we need to keep that even if you are in Toronto,’ and I agreed and  we just added the Leafs logo on the side – old school – with a bunch of small logos in the shading on the side just like he did with my L.A. helmet. It’s pretty much the same. We just switched the colours and logos.”
