Braden Holtby 2010-11 Mask

Braden Holtby of the Washington Capitals (born Sept. 16, 1989 in Lloydminster, SK.)

Holtby started wearing a new mask in early 2011. I'll leave the first one at the bottom of the entry. But here's the new one. I love the bear (because he also plays for the Hershey Bears in the AHL.) Big thanks to Canucks Fan for sending this info to me!

  1. You're right - he is third on the depth chart. He's expected to be the number one goalie with the Hershey Bears (the AHL affiliate).

  5. Do you mind if I ask how you found my site? I'm always curious if readers came here by searching google for a certain goalie's mask or from another site, or something like that. If you'd rather not say, that's cool.

  7. On the back of Holtby's mask there is some writing - maybe japanese? Any one know what it says?

  8. I'm not sure if the backplate of his new mask is the same as his earlier mask of this season. But if it is, I think I found the answer. In the description of his previous mask, I read it's a "Japanese symbol which means 'constant improvement.'"
